'Tourism Landscapes: Remaking Greece' explores the role of tourism as a vehicle for the continuous modernization of Greece through the production of constructed tourism landscapes - archaeological sites and museums, public spaces - preserved and developed traditional settlements, sea-side facilities, hotels and resorts, large-scale tourism developments and infrastructures. Moreover, it addresses the concurrent (re)shaping of Greek national identity, enhanced by tourism.
